FIRST TIME EVER! Q & A coaching call with me

FIRST TIME EVER!

Two FREE Question & Answer Coaching calls with me!

Monday, May 4th at 1 pm EDT and Thursday, May 7th at 1 pm EDT

My mission and my passion is to reach more and more people with the spiritual perspective and wisdom that changes lives for the better. I’ve never done these Q & A calls before and am truly looking forward to it!

I will be coaching participants on these two calls about the great life challenges facing them and how to use those challenges to create deep and lasting change. It is absolutely possible to let go of needless suffering about unmet expectations and unexpected changes, and access more joy and inner peace regardless of what is going on in your life.

Does this mean detaching so much that you don’t care? Of course not! It means learning to detach from ego’s interpretations that lead to your suffering and replacing those thoughts with higher wisdom and spiritual knowledge.

Get your questions ready for me and we’ll have a wonderful time together!

When DOING is the highest energy

Today things shifted for me energetically. I’ve been intending this shift for a while now and patiently waiting…I know enough not to strong-arm myself and I honor myself by following my inner process, knowing it will get me ‘there’, wherever ‘there’ is!

I’ve been holding myself open to learn from a variety of people recently, and it’s been a very rich time. I always say that a tiny bit of the right thing is sufficient, fills the need. It’s been abundantly clear that this has been true for me over the past few months. I’ve been learning from people’s blogs, from their email series, from audio files they’ve sent out, from phone conversations, from tweeting with them on twitter, etc., etc.

I’m very discerning about those from whom I want to learn. I observe and wait and get a hit of their energy, their vibe, and see what it is they really have to offer and what it’s ‘flavored’ with. And there have been some awesome individuals offering me their knowledge, wisdom, experience and encouragement. I have felt blessed to have so many of these fabulous people in my life.

So, back to today and the shift….suddenly (it always seems sudden and it never is) I was ready for ACTION. Ready, as my friend says to ‘Do the Do’. And it was organically and naturally time to do the things that had simply been waiting for me to be ready to do them. I was aligned energetically with Doing, because all of the being, learning, processing, letting go, integrating had gotten me ready to Do the Do.

I stepped into areas I had avoided until today. I committed to things I had been fearful about. I envisioned the bigger picture of what I want as being so much closer to manifesting. And I smiled the whole day long! It was energizing, thrilling, exciting, joyful!

I asked on Twitter this morning, “What will you DO today that will ROCK your world?” And then I answered the question for myself. I never ask my clients to do anything I’m not willing to do or have done myself. Same thing with my students and Twitter followers. I choose to be in integrity about this because that’s who I am.

The details of what I did are not important but I will tell you that the first thing I did was to bike in the opposite direction from where I usually go!  Just to shake things up! I prefer biking my usual route but change was more important than comfort today.

This afternoon, in the midst of my day of ACTION, I talked with my friend and it turns out that she was experiencing the same shift at the same time. She was out doing PR for her workshops, something she’d put off for a long time. Maybe a larger wave of energy came in, maybe it was just time, the main thing is you have to listen and honor yourself if you want to be authentic in both your Being and your Doing. It’s the only way to have a JOYful life! And trusting that the Doing will come is essential because sometimes it feels like it might not.

More to come…..

If you’d like support or guidance in balancing thinking/feeling/preparing with action, or with life challenges as they relate to spiritual awakening, or with the missing joy in the midst of all your other successes, call me: 305-234-0776 or email me: jan@everydayjoy.com I’d love to honor your process and your purpose and your passion with you!

Blessings,

JOY TO THE WORLD, JOY TO YOU AND ME!!

JOY TO THE WORLD, JOY TO YOU AND ME!!
How much joy do you allow yourself?

Once I saw a baby chimpanzee at our zoo who was so full of Joy he couldn't stand still! He jumped, he fell over onto the grass, he somersaulted, he jumped onto his mom's back, he rolled and hopped and leaped and tumbled with his siblings; he ran around...and he kept this up for at least 30 minutes that we stood there in total Joy with him watching, laughing, giggling, celebrating his natural and full-out display of unbridled joy!

This took place over 20 years ago and the memory of it is still fresh and clear in my mind..and my heart!

Joy is one of the highest vibrations we can experience. How much joy do you allow yourself? A moment here and there? A fleeting sense of it? Or do you play it for all it's worth like that 2 year old chimp?

On my daily walks and bike rides, my smile is a mile wide. It's a wonder I don't end up with bugs in my teeth! LOL Everything I encounter triggers my joy: the simple fact that I am walking or biking, the sky, the clouds, the trees, the smells, the sensation of wind, the other people, the sounds of the birds, the rustling sounds of the wind, the water of the bay.... Doesn't matter to me if the day is sunny or cloudy...I LOVE IT ALL!!

I consciously choose to experience joy! And I don't need much of a reason. LOL I laugh out loud at a funny thought that occurs to me, I jog a bit, I say 'Hi' to everyone, I smile, they smile, we uplift one another! What simple JOY!

And how about this: WHAT IF every moment of Joy you allow yourself helps to elevate the entire planet! It does! It's true! We are all interconnected and your vibe affects me and vice versa and the higher the vibe the more people you carry higher with you!! It's true!

Just wait until you see my fabulous FlashMovie WHAT IF You Heal the World? and you'll never again doubt the difference you make on this planet! Sign up for my Everyday Joy Newsletter right on the sidebar of this page and you'll be notified when I release it in advance of the amazing online course I've created to support spiritual awakenings and joyful living, Transform with WHAT IF...? AFFIRMATIONS FROM A COACHING SESSION

This client made huge shifts in her energy from the beginning of our coaching session to the conclusion. She was thrilled...and I felt gratified and grateful.

Here are the affirmations she concluded the coaching session with today:

I am so happy and grateful now that I am sleeping and dreaming peacefully, and awakening rested and rejuvenated.

It makes me so happy that my nose is healthy, my lungs are clear, breathing is deep and easy, and I have an abundant sense of well-being, and the trust that I will take care of myself well.

I am so pleased that I have been able to allow myself to reach a loving, forgiving place with myself which spills over into my all of my interactions with others, enhancing all of my relationships.

I am alive in my body, my mind is filled with gratitude, and God's peace, and I am bristling with the confidence in grace that I am in the flow with Spirit in every moment.

I dedicate the next hours of my life to living in this truth!

If I can support you in making similar positive life-affirming shifts contact me! You don't need to awaken alone. xxxooo

TEACH A CAT TO BARK???

That silly ego of mine.....

What would you think if I told you that I’m beginning to smile and giggle when ego tries to intervene with judgment and limiting thought? Something has happened to loosen and lighten my hold on what ‘needs to happen’. So when ego starts up with ‘should’ and ‘have to’ and ‘got to’ and expectations and disappointments, I instantly know that, in the wry words of Bryon Katie, ego is ‘trying to teach a cat to bark.’

Now, picture it…trying to teach a cat to bark! Fat chance, right? Well, that’s what ego attempts whenever it pits itself again reality. The resistance that is created is all about trying to make reality different from what it is. And that is what causes your suffering…and mine…and everyone’s.

But you say, what am I supposed to do, just cave in to every reality? Well, consider for the moment that if what you want is to be happy and peaceful, then yes, giving in to reality is what is being asked of you. That’s not as wimpy as it sounds. In fact, it is the bravest act in the world to give up trying to control.

Does it mean you are powerless? Only over that which you have no power to change. Paradox? Not really. You have power over yourself, your reactions and responses, and your thoughts and feelings, and over what you ultimately manifest out of those thoughts and feelings. Doesn’t feel like you have that power? I get that. I really do. We are often so immersed in trying to change things outside of ourselves that we completely ignore the very real and huge power that we have to change things FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

The reason I can laugh at ego as just as silly as my two year old grandson when he pretends that he’s going to get into the boat that the two-inch tall Curious George figure belongs in, is that my grandson giggles like crazy and I with him, at how SILLY it is to imagine that we can ignore reality. My little guy knows that it’s pretend and that’s what makes it so FUNNY.

So see if you can approach ego in the same way…as a beloved child who is pretending to challenge reality…making himself fit into Curious Georges’s teensy-tiny boat, or trying to teach his kittycat to bark when he knows full well that he only meows, or demanding that anything be other than what it is.

Fear is what drives us to take ego seriously. Fear that we won’t be safe, secure, needs won’t be met unless we get to control/change reality. And of course, we can’t and so we suffer because of what we IMAGINE might happen if we can’t change reality.

Next time ego challenges reality, see if you can find the ‘silly’ in it. See if you can find the fear that drives your ego to try to control things. See if you might find some compassion for that fearful part of your Shadow…precious ego. And know that every intervention by ego is an opportunity for enlightenment for you! What a gift!

Appreciate ego and see what happens. And know that you are safe and secure and loved beyond imagining in every single moment. I have always had a very silly side to me—ask anyone close to me-- and I love that it’s helping me now to maintain my peace and my JOY!

HAVE A DOWN-TO-EARTH SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Have a Down-to-Earth Spiritual Awakening

In the East they say you need to wash your teacup before you meditate. What that tells us is that you need to be fully grounded in physical reality before zooming off into the ozone of spiritual adventure.

For some people, the ozone is a place they feel comfortable in. They like the experience of sort of floating in the ethers, playing with metaphysical concepts, doing the airy-fairy thing. That’s all very nice, but if you’re not grounded, you’re completely missing the point of being here on Earth.

If what you wanted was to float in higher consciousness and fly with angels, then you wouldn’t have decided to come to Earth at this time. In your physical body and in the physical world around you the levels of experience where you learn about what it means to be a spiritual being having an earthly experience.

I’ve met people who are deeply spiritual and don’t take care of their physical environment, their bodies, and are quite ungrounded—very airy, distracted, not really present. The dichotomy between their spiritual awareness and their physical functioning is quite extreme. That’s probably not the case for you, nor is it for me.

For most of us, we are ungrounded in the present moment because we’re not paying attention, we’re not in awareness. Ram Dass entitled one of his first books way back in the 1960’s, GRIST FOR THE MILL. The reference is that everything that we experience on the physical plane has the potential to lead to enlightenment. Everything. But only if met with present-centered awareness. Only if embraced with the acceptance of higher consciousness. Then, BAM! Washing your teacup could lead to satori. Really. So could brushing your teeth, or tying your shoes…you get it, right?

Emotions are another area where groundedness is essential for ascending higher on the spiritual spiral path. We experience emotions in the body. So….you gotta be present in the body, not numbed out, in order to allow emotional energy to flow through and out the way it’s supposed to.
Take a moment and breathe into your belly. Feel the rise and fall of your chest and belly. Allow your energy to sort of ‘plop’ into your pelvis. Feel your butt on the chair. And your feet on the floor. Now ask yourself what you are feeling and where you are feeling it in your body. Tension? Where? In your shoulders? Anxiety? Where? Solar plexus? Distraction? Where? Head?

Doesn’t really matter what the answers are. The simple act of awareness in the body is grounding. It is the presence to Being, and the consciousness that are key to your Ascending into Mastery.

Make the commitment to check in with your body a few times a day. Notice what your present-centered experience is. Ground yourself in being. You’ll climb much higher in a shorter time if you take the time and care to do this for yourself, honoring your human self.

You are not just a divine being. You are human and have come to dance with both sides of your nature. Have fun, pay attention, and do it in the world with the rest of us!!

Blessings!
